About

iFamily Leadership Academy is comprised of many homeschooling families in the southeast Idaho area.  Our members come from differing faiths and religious and non-religious backgrounds.  We come together one day a week to participate in Mom Schools, which are classes or clubs that a Mom, Dad, or someone else creates to share their passion with the world. We invite you to look around our site, get a feel for who we are, get educated about Leadership Education or TJEd, and fall in love with learning together as a family.

We have some lofty aspirations and are striving to fulfill our Vision and Mission. We invite you to join with us in Growing Scholars!

Meet the current Board of Directors, and take a look at our Bylaws.

Game Changer: 10 Ways My Life Has Changed Because I Started Homeschooling

by Rachel Crumpley

  1. My children NEVER GO AWAY!! I know this seems like a no-brainer, of course they never go away.  Isn’t that the point? I expected to struggle with having them around all the time (and I do).  I love having quiet, personal time to read or write or reflect on things and I find the constant interruptions exhausting and (sometimes) defeating.  What I didn’t expect was that I would grow to love having them around, and to miss them when they are gone.
  2. I have a better relationship with my children than I ever thought possible. My children and I have conversations every day about topics ranging from science and history to religion and current affairs.  They are more willing to ask questions and seek counsel, and I feel like they actually listen to what I have to say.  I make an effort to give them my undivided attention and to show an interest in what is going on in their lives.  As a result, I better understand them as individuals.  They seem to enjoy having me around (at least they aren’t embarrassed to be seen with me in public) and I know that I love having them around.
