Watercolor Painting

Description:  Are you creative and have always wanted to be able to create beautiful artwork? Then this is the class for you! Come and learn how to watercolor! Having the desire to learn how to paint is the most important element of being successful. Many of us believe that being an artist is something you are either born with or not. While it is true that it comes easier for some then others, it is my experience that anyone can learn to be an artist if they really want to. All it takes is a little direction and a lot of practice.

Mentor(s):  Rebecca West

Mentor Bio(s):  Hi, I am Becky West. Faith and Family are first, anything artistic and creative next, everything else after that. I have loved art since before I can remember, and have been a professional artist for more than 25 years. When my oldest son showed signs of great talent, I concluded it was time for him to start learning skills to go along with his creativity. I decided I would teach him. Because I am the typical somewhat scattered artist type, I decided the best way to make this happen was to organize a neighborhood class at a set time each week. That’s when I fell in love with teaching art. That was somewhere around 16 years ago. He is now a professional artist.
